The first major round of web site updates were completed Aug. 14, 2018 for the F18 version of 59-240 Intro Phys Chem.

The F2018 course outline is available on the Outline and Downloads page.

Please note that the textbook bundle should be on sale at the bookstore in approx. 2 weeks.

First class is: Fri. Sep. 7 12:30 p.m. Chrysler Hall North 133

All lab materials will be on the blackboard site, available Sep. 1, 2018.

Final Exam

The final exam is comprehensive, but 65-75% of the material will be from Lectures 15-19 (everything after the second mid-term). Only very top level concepts from earlier in the course will be examined - focus your studies on L15-L19.

The final exam format is:
1. Mandatory question, phase diagram, 16 marks.
2-9. Choose 7 of 8, 12 marks each.
Bonus. 4-6 marks
Total marks available: 100
Percentage of final grade: 45

You will be provided with
Equation Sheets 1-3, plus other useful information.

Be sure to check out the

You must have the following to write the exam:
1. Pen (blue/black) OR pencil (it is actually useful to do the diagrams in pencil!)
2. Ruler (you will need this for phase diagrams)
3. Calculator
4. Student ID is MANDATORY
